Associated Research’s HYAMP® III, model 3140, has received UL Listing
40 Amp Ground Bond tester now carries the combined Canada/US UL listing mark
Lake Forest, Illinois, Jan. 2005 - Announced today by Associated Research, Inc is the C-UL-US listing mark on their HYAMP III, model 3140, 40 Amp Ground Bond tester. Underwriter’s Laboratories, an independent not-for-profit product safety testing and certification organization is one of the most recognized safety agencies in the world. The UL listing number that the 3140 has received is E204261; this means that the 3140 has been tested to and passed all the specifications called out in UL 61010B-1. The Canada/U.S. listing mark complies with regulations for both countries.
UL listing provides assurance to manufacturers that the fundamental design of the 3140 is safe for normal operator use. UL is also a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) therefore the UL listed 3140 also provides compliance to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards of the U.S. Department of Labor. In addition the 3140 also carries the TÜV-GS international safety mark.
The 3140 is designed to provide up to 40 Amps of ground bond test current continuous duty. It features a graphic LCD that allows critical information to be viewed more prominently simplifying the user interface and allowing users to quickly and effortlessly set-up tests, perform tests, and read results. In addition, the 3140 features patented technologies such as VERI-CHEK®, a built-in verification system and CAL-ALERT®, an automatic calibration alert system.
The 3140 is also able to interconnect with an Associated Research's Hypot III to form a complete test system that will perform the four most common safety tests, AC Hipot, DC Hipot, Insulation Resistance and Ground Bond. The 3140's 2U ½ rack mount cabinet design and the similar design of the Hypot III models allow this test system to be easily rack mounted side by side in a single 19” 2U rack space. This test system provides a single Device Under Test (DUT) connection that automates the test sequences as chosen by the operator. If preferred, the “single step mode” allows linked tests to be accessed and performed one at a time. This system can be controlled manually or through simple PLC remote control. The 3140, whether used stand alone or interconnected as part of an electrical safety test system, provides advanced features that improve the safety and reliability of the tests performed.
